Founded in 2010 by the Souza family, Island Farms in Waianae, Hawai‘i, has grown from humble beginnings into Oahu’s premier provider of locally raised pork. It all started when David Souza Sr. purchased an old dairy farm with a vision to repurpose the land and create Island Topsoil. With a deep connection to the land, he expanded his business to include a thriving soil operation and, ultimately, a dedicated swine farm.

Our Legacy
What began as a small backyard project soon became a passion that David Sr. eagerly shared with family and friends. His love for swine farming quickly took root, transforming his newfound interest into a way of life.
Today, the legacy continues with David Jr., who has taken the reins of the farm, ensuring its growth and sustainability. Now, the day-to-day operations are managed by the next generation, his daughter Kaylen, who carries forward the family’s commitment to quality and excellence in local farming.
